Our Mission Statement

The FCE Club encourages community service, provides professional development opportunities, and gain experience working with families, children, and the community.

W
hat We Do:

Community Service: The FCE Club makes a great deal of effort to serve the Greater Lansing Community. We have participated in a number of community service activities, such as an adopt-a-family project, volunteering to cook a meal at the Ronald MacDonald House, hosting a Scholastic Book Fair, and collecting food to donate to the MSU Food Bank.

Professional Development: As the future in the field of Family and Child Ecology, it is the hope of the FCE Club that we will leave here as leaders. Each year we provide opportunities for members to gain new, strong professional skills that we can carry with us throughout our careers. We have had resume workshops, career placement presentations, and panel discussions or career opportunities. Participation in professional conferences at the local, state, regional, and national level are encouraged.

Social Activities: There are always plenty of opportunities for social activities in the FCE Club. Social activities are a great way to get to know others in your field of study and build support groups. Some events the Club has planned include ice-skating, a hayride, and a road rally.
