University Distinguished Professor, 1996 - present. Professor - Department of Family & Child Ecology, 1991 - present. Michigan State University
Acting Dean and Professor of Social Work - Howard University. Dr. McAdoo is the author, editor, and co-editor of 13 books and monographs with more than 80 scholarly articles and chapters in books.

Issues relating to stress, AIDS, and family values that impact families
Women's issues - esp. relating to women of color
International research on extended family patterns
