Karen Mills earned her B.S. in Family Community Services, with a concentration in Adult Development and an M.A. in Adult and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University.

She is currently teaching the Internship Preparation and Reflections courses and supervises the progress of the interns at their sites. She also is teaching the Foundations course for the Youth Development online Master's program, as well as serving as an advisor and coordinator of the program. She also oversees the online and off-campus courses and administrates continuing education units (CEUs) for the department.
